Mole Of Duty: Project Shadow Moles
In every self-respecting team, the moment inevitably comes to set our sights on world domination. That’s why our research and development division was tasked with finding the creature best suited to become the perfect fighter. After failing with every other species, we finally understood: for dark times, we needed creatures accustomed to darkness.
Mole of Duty: Project Shadow Moles is our mole training program, where nearly blind animals have passed a rigorous selection process and are now ready to train in the underground labyrinths built specifically for the project.
Take on the role of Molevin, formerly an ordinary mole we transformed into a super-intelligent mole-fighter. We didn’t mean to go that far, but the science team insisted on kidnapping the love of his life -little Smolevin- just to ensure he’d show the determination needed to complete our trials. Then we moved the labs to the island of Shadow Moles, so we could operate undisturbed and limit any chance of escape.
Wield the equipment we’ve prepared for you, including:
-
Our special Odor Cannon 9000: a weapon that lets you sniff out what lies ahead on your path.
-
A sturdy helmet.
Did we turn off the lights, or is it just the limited vision of the animal in question? Well, either way, you'll have to show your determination by finding your way through a path full of traps and dangers.
- Proceed carefully through the darkness as our scientists closely monitor your progress... Be warned: the path remains unseen until it's right under your nose.
- When you have no other choice, use the Odor Cannon to uncover the route, but be careful! We've only provided you with limited ammo. (We only had enough budget for 3 rounds per level, sorry about that.)
- In addition to spikes and other classic platformer delights, a mutant mole — codename Behemole — has broken loose and now roams the labyrinths built for the project. We have a feeling it’s not done with you yet... and it may return to haunt you by spreading its spores around. Stay sharp!
- Smolevin will occasionally let out a faint whimper... Listen carefully. When you hear it, it means you're getting close. But don’t get your hopes up: those wicked scientists will relocate him to the end of another level every time. It’s up to Molevin to break the loop and escape Shadow Moles once and for all.
- Move using the arrow keys on your keyboard or the left stick on your gamepad.
- Jump with the Spacebar or the A button on your gamepad.
- To use the Odor Cannon:
- Press the Up direction to make Molevin sit and enter firing mode.
- Hold Z on your keyboard or X on your gamepad to aim.
- Adjust the trajectory with Left and Right to choose where to reveal part of the map.
- When you're ready, release Z or the X button on your gamepad.
